A season of completion of promises.

When I saw this video yesterday (https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153476138975921)

I could not get out of my mind what I believe God was saying. I kept hearing the phrase , THIS IS A SEASON OF COMPLETION OF PROMISES! Get ready for the promises that God has spoken over your life to begin to come full circle. One of my favorite life verse is
Isaiah 55:11 “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

God can not lie. What He has said, He will do! Take hold of His promises and declare them over your life. When you come into agreement with His promises and declare them over your present situation it is activating your faith and aligning your prayers with God’s will.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

We cannot even comprehend the amount of creative energy that is held in a single word that God speaks. God spoke and it was created! What words of God are you speaking over your life?

3 Ways to Protect your Child’s electronic innocence

5/29/15: UPDATED BELOW: (warning graphic) 3 ways to check how your innocent kids may be affected by unintentional trash on their electronics. Parents, if you have minor children in your house who have access to a iPhone, iPod, iPad or other brand devices, You need to read this!  Have you done a check recently on what they have been engaging with? I would severely encourage you to set boundaries with your kids and have them realize their electronics are a privilege not a right and you have access anytime to do a check. And do it weekly if needed. With our kids they are required to tell us what the password is and give us access it anytime. When they try to swipe things up before they hand it over it puts me on edge. For those of you who need help in a technological way of how to look at their history here are three  ways to do it

Go to:

Settings -General- Usage – Battery Usage (this will show you which apps or things they have had open in the last 24 hours or more)

The most important one is to check what they have been watching on the Internet. This can be done two ways: first go to Safari.

On Safari – click on the book in the toolbar below- then look at history

The next most important and most revealing is to go on to that YouTube app – clicked on the dashed lines in the top left-hand corner and select history. Many apps from games nowadays will ask kids if they want free coin by viewing a video. But the sinful crap that comes before their eyes and ears is something you will never be able to take away. I recommend removing any game that requires young kids to watch videos for free coins. The temptation is so great because any kid wants free coins. But what comes through the speakers would absolutely make you throw up like it did with me tonight. Even though my son said he never watches the videos he turns them over when they begin to play and does not listen to your phones, the level of filth I saw was beyond sick. I need to pray a cleansing prayer over myself from just what I saw (Pig in a Strip Club) need I say more!

Parents this is not legalistic and it is not taking away your kids choices, it is been a good parent. A parent that loves your kids. Parent who’s teaching them to make good choices. But sometimes kids need a revelation on what those choices are. God tells us to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is older he will not depart. (Proverbs 22:6)

Training doesn’t mean tell them one time and expect they will do it right every time. It is up to us to show them what a godly standard is.

Its when you see secretive behavior when you begin questioning kids that you know there is something there that is pricking their conscience.  We cant give up asking questions and asking the Holy Spirit to bring to light what is hidden. If not there is a path of destruction drawing them in. We need to pray that God gives parents and guardians wisdom. On how to train our kids hearts. The temptation of this world is absolutely horrible and going to get worse. God have mercy on the parents of the last generation.

There are two other amazing computer protection and accountability websites:

Covenant Eyes: http://www.covenanteyes.com

Net Nannyhttp://www.netnanny.com

This Mobicip site is amazing. I just paid for the premium subscription and it is worth every penny. I just installed it on my kids devices. You can customize everything specifically and what is restricted as well as customize each of the 5 devices and their security level. Tim and I are getting set up on it now. This is the first program I have found that uses its own browser to help block restricted sites. I am so thankful God led me to this.

Article from Time Magazine on Christians and Pornography (Thank you to my friend Shara for sending this to me)
UPDATED 5/29/15

I would never post a picture like this except my son was just playing an Angry birds Transformer edition on my phone and clicked on the option to watch a video to get extra game rewards (which I have to sternly remind him he is not aslllowed to do) While he said he flipped the phone over while it was playing, my phone rang and this was what was on my screen when I hung up!!!!

I realize now I need to have as strict rules on my phone that I have set up for my kids. The video played inside the game app so I dont know if it would have been blocked anyways. I am one fired up mama!! YOUR KIDS COULD BE SEEING THIS EVERY DAY AND YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW!!! We have to be VIGILANT!!

You were not born with a cape!

Lets just say, it was a very bad morning. Which started last night when my daughter finally let me wiggle her tooth that needed to come out because she has another one behind it coming in. Unfortunately we didn’t stop till 9:45 PM which was way past their bedtime. (Husband not happy) The tooth is still in there. That affected everybody else at night and this morning as they were very tired. My oldest (12yrs) didn’t have clothes that were clean because he did not follow directions and put them in the washing machine over the weekend, dispite 3 reminders. Then he broke his brother’s plastic gun by sitting on it. Which resulted in a very mad brother.

All in all, everybody got to school on time and I was very happy to know that I am not superwoman. Despite my day starting off the way it did I will not live in a state of frustration or depression.  God said,

I am so thankful that I can rely on his grace and strength every day. Because if I had to go on my own, it would’ve stopped about 12 years ago.

NEVER FORGET- GOD DID NOT CREATE YOU WITH A CAPE! So stop living under the expectations of being superwoman.

I realized today that I need to make sure I am DAILY declaring the promises of God over myself, my children, my family and friends, my church, my city and my nation.

I just purchased the book “65 Promises from God for your child” by Mike Shreve. (http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1616389605/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1432068946&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SY200_QL40&keywords=65+promises+from+god+for+your+child&dpPl=1&dpID=510LChhk6yL&ref=plSrch)

I am literally trembling with excitement just reading the first few pages. It is time to start to DAILY declare the promises of God over my children. As I declare it will change my own attitude and shift my spirit to be focused on my kids are the eyes of Christ.

Here is the article I found out about his book

I love dubstep…from the mouth of my babe

Tonight I stepped into something that allowed my son to experience music like he had been desperate for. The mainstream Christian music scene has done a very poor job of catering to a group of society who kick it just a little bit different.  My son heard dubstep from a video game and then asked friends what it was. Without me knowing he began listening to many different songs (that was before our Mobicip app was installed). Although there are few to little words there is always the spirit behind the music that drastically affects him. When you have a kid who is very spiritually sensitive I have learned that I have to teach him to be careful what is feeding him.  I was desperate and reached out to a old friend (Andrew Iverson) who I knew had talked in the past about the mainstream Christian music scene being soo limited. He turned me on to http://www.ChristianDanceMusic.net

This website is absolutely incredible. David has been going through it today looking for the artists he likes. There are many more genres besides dubstep for you to check out. PARENTS WE NEED TO BE VIGILANT, and TAKE TIME TO FIND RIGHTEOUS REPLACEMENTS for what our kids are drawn to. I am not going to reject a genre altogether just because I do not personally enjoy it myself. If I deny my kid something that is enticing him, just because it does not fit into the traditional Christian framework, and I do not take the time and effort to find another way to replace what was lost, I may lose him, and I WILL NOT LOSE HIM! On the flip-side if I allow my son to listen to secular music that is attached to pornography, violence and witchcraft (just check out what the artists endorse like I did, yikes!!) than I will lose him for not guiding him biblically. I want my kids to have a heart for music that glorifies God, it just takes a little digging. Thank you so much Andy!!

Wait for the Lord

A week of heartbreaking news for many loved ones makes this verse Ring in my soul. God is our hope, our sure foundation. When we are seated in heavenly places with the King of Kings our focus in life must be from God’s perspective down. When we see life through His eyes- THERE IS HOPE. Let the Prince of Peace fill you with His Comfort, Hope and Joy today!

IMPACT

What impact can we make in the lives of others?

By spending time with Papa God His fragrance mixed with a heart of love and obedience will impact more unintentionally than intentional actions done without the presence and love of God.

The Temples destroyed – God reveal your glory

My heart is breaking for the families in Nepal who have lost friends and loved ones.  Back in 1994 at our TCHS CAN-AM convention I saw visions of the picture you see below begin to happen all over the earth. I saw temples from false religions being destroyed and kicked down. The visions were so clear. After the visions I looked around and I saw my friends faces and they were shining. I kept on saying in shock, “Your face is shining, your face is shining” the glory of the Lord was shining on their faces just like will be happening all around the world to God’s people.

In the times of these disasters I am praying that the glory of the Lord shines from his people, that signs and wonders would break out everywhere. That his love and hope would saturate every fear. SHINE JESUS SHINE FILL THIS WORLD WITH YOUR GRACE AND MERCY –

this is the article I found the picture on.

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2015/04/27/world/asia/amid-the-destruction-of-nepal-earthquake-grace-and-hope-found.html?_r=0&referrer=

My cousins lived over there for years ministering to the abused, outcast and unreached people groups. They have been in the states for quite a few months now, but I know they have many close friends over there still. Praying for peace and comfort for them.

Smiling in the outside -Crying on the inside

My heart has been so burdened for the broken-hearted. I have been praying that God will lift you up and draw you into His arms. In His arms of Love is the most comforting and safe place to be. I hope this picture and scripture stays in your heart today as a reminder that we have Hope!

Psalm 3:3-6 “But you, Lord, are a shield around me,my glory, the One who lifts my head high. I call out to the Lord, and he answers me from his holy mountain. I lie down and sleep;I wake again, because the Lord sustains me. I will not fear though tens of thousands assail me on every side. ”

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Zephaniah 3:17

“The LORD your God in your midst, the Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”

1 Corinthians 2:9

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Revelation 21:4

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Psalms 23: 4,6

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. … Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.”

2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

And you thought you knew His will for you?

If they would’ve told us 15, 16, 17 years ago as Tim  and I were sitting at Portland Bible College that we would be running a specialty wood & custom furniture business, we would have laughed them all the way back to China. God has an amazing sense of humor. So all you Bible College students out there,do not despise the process or the opportunities God brings across your path. Sometimes you may feel like throwing them out the window because you may think that the only way to serve God is to go into “the ministry” and be on staff at a church, like that is your highest aspiration. THINK AGAIN!! God uses even the job you get “in the world” to open up doors you never thought would open or that you would even be walking through. The tricky thing is keeping your focus on God’s face and not his hand. When you keep looking steadily at his eyes, listening to his voice and moving with his heartbeat you wont make a mistake.

At PBC Glenda Malmin, my first mentor, would look at me in class and chapel and say “Stir it up!” And motion it with her hands. This has never left me. (Thanks Glenda) Because I have had to make sure that whatever season I was in, (working at CBC, Bible College, Mom with a newborn, Mom with three kids and running a business while working with Children’s ministry and Family Life at Destiny Christian Fellowship) I kept stirring the Gifts that were within me. Every season has its difficulties and challenges. We have to make sure even in the hard seasons we are doing everything we can to find fulfillment in God’s will. If we fight it we will miss out on the joys that God brings to us every day.

And I tell you what, “being in the ministry” has a completely different look and definition that I thought in Bible College. Ministry is every day being obedient to what God is leading you to do. If you are not on paid staff, than praise the Lord! That means you get to work a job and bless the Lords house with your tithes and offerings while pouring your life out to all those you have the chance to minister to inside and outside if the church.

God is faithful to fulfill the desires of your heart because many times HE put them there. My friend and mentor Helene Spacek reminded me on Sunday of a word she had for me a few months ago, “Dream with your eyes wide open”. This time she addded that at just the SCENT of rain God will cause a shoot to come out of what we thought was dead. She said she saw one of our custom tables with a new green shoot coming out of it. (Aaron’s Rod) It meant the world to me. God’s method, path and timing do not belong to us. We don’t understand it when it’s happening. But take a second to look back and remember all the times he had been faithful and the little doors he opened to get you to this point. GOD WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU OR FORSAKE YOU OR THE DREAMS IN YOUR HEART. Dont stop dreaming! Seek His Face!! His plans WILL be fulfilled through your life, if you surrender it to him. There is nothing more fulfilling in this life than walking in HIS will.

Mom’s you are not a holiday failure

God told me to send this out to every mom out there feels like she doesn’t do it good enough for your kids. I know I am not a mom who is good at all of the creative extra detail things when I comes to holidays. This last weekend the enemy kept on trying to heap on condemnation and guilt that I’m a horrible mom because I don’t do all the creative and fancy holiday extras that other moms and grandmas to do.

But this picture below solidifies what God is trying to tell me. I’m speaking this to all of you moms and grandmas out there who feel a heavyweight of “I’m not good enough”. That is a lie from the pit of hell, ask forgiveness for believing that lie and asked Holy Spirit what the truth is. I know I am.
