Family Life: Marriage

AFFAIRS DON’T JUST HAPPEN

Flattery and complements form the opposite sex may give you a warm butterfly feeling inside, BUT if you have a wedding ring on your finger and those signs of affection are not coming from your spouse. RUN!

I had a dream Saturday night that was given as a warning to those who might find themselves in this situation. In my dream, I was in a church service and a man stood very close beside me. He was not my husband. He paid attention, complemented me, and sat so close he was touching me resulting in a warm feeling inside. But, I told him to keep his distance because I was married.

After I woke up from the dream I realized that I didn’t more from where I was sitting. And felt a strong word from The Lord that there are married people out there who are in a very similar situation. They are flirting with danger because it feels good and they technically may not be in a sexual affair, but are in an emotional one. This also applies to singles who are drawn into lust instead of love. In Proverbs there are countless scriptures about the adulteress woman tempting and to FLEE her, but ladies that also means you fleeing temptation. God’s love is so huge  there is nothing you can ever  do to get away from it. Run to him, ask forgiveness, seek help and accountability and RUN from temptation.

The same day I had this dream I woke up to find this article by Mark Gungor on my Facebook page: http://www.laughyourway.com/blog/tag/infidelity/
