Why is The Joy of The Lord Your Strength?

Everyone’s heard the verse The Joy of the Lord is my strength. I’ve been meditating on that all week long. However, I decided to read the whole chapter of Nehemiah 8 to understand the context of this first verse. Ezra was reading the book of the law to the people and they were weeping. He told them not to mourn because the joy of the Lord is our strength. He read some more to them and they began to understand what the word of the Lord was saying. They then went out with joy like never before.
Sometimes, all we see are the complicated things in front of us. As a result, we don’t understand life through God’s eyes. But when we understand His Word and Principles and apply it to our life, we can stop our weeping. Because there comes a renewed sense of his strength as we live in his Joy knowing His promises will be fulfilled.

NOW LET THE JOY OF THE LORD BE YOUR STRENGTH!

“Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law, and the Levites who were instructing the people said to them all, “This day is holy to the Lord your God. Sex and Alcohol and 15 year Olds – A Mothers Rant

This morning I had such a good talk with my 15 year old son about alcohol and sexual purity. He had asked me in the past why I choose not to drink alcohol. At that time I tried to explain the best I could about avoiding the appearance of evil and not wanting any of my actions to be a stumbling block to someone else. As a very young child I watched my parents try to restore alcoholics who had destroyed their families lives by their actions.

The fact that, yes you can drink and not get drunk and that is not a sin, is correct. I tried to tell him this morning, that now days, if you drink you have to know that where ever you are later in your life, that your actions as a young teen can haunt you or can be exploited and twisted and used against you.

Society knows what can happen when you get drunk and how it can possibly affect your behavior in a negative way. So for young kids who think their actions won’t follow them for the rest of their lives, just turn on the news.

As for sexual purity, boy do I have a new sense of passion to teach abstinence before marriage and complete loyalty after marriage. For some people, it can ruin your life and reputation till you die. I was able to tell him why being someone who stands for and lives in righteousness and purity should keep him blameless and avoid any false accusations because people will know your character and lifestyle. It is not Legalism to live a righteous life of sexual purity!

There are reasons God clearly lays those commandments out in the Bible. Just because he said the greatest commandment is to love one another, doesn’t mean to ignore the same commandment not to have sex before marriage or to cheat on your wife after marriage. All throuout Psalms it talks about the man who walks blameless.

Wow! I want to see a generation who can walk blameless and with purity before their God and the world.
I can’t even go into my past fears about having a daughter and fearing the abuse that could ever happen to her. It was the main reason I didn’t want a 3rd kid, because I was scared to death it would be a girl. God had to break off fear and I trust Him to protect her all the days of her life. At the same time, I am going to do everything I can to teach her Modesty in how she dresses so she doesn’t provoke a male attack! I am going to teach her the importance of who she hangs out with and not putting herself in compromising situations. I’m going to talk to her about purity in words she types and pictures she posts. As a parents I pray to God guides us with wisdom and discernment.

IF Abstinence was taught and practiced again, we could have a complete different society!
Think about that! God’s principles are true yesterday, today and forever! Theaffect they have on our lives if we live them or not is still evident every day with every person on this planet. Imagine what our country would look like if we skipped the hippie movement and kept God in our schools and in our homes. We have a choice as parents on how we instill values into our kids. Purity and honesty.

God help our nation. God help us as parents. God I cry out from the deepest party of my soul, PROTECT OUR SONS AND DAUGHTERS. HOLY SPIRIT FILL THEM WITH A RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION THAT WILL NEVER BACK DOWN DESPITE THE TEMPTATION FROM EVERY SIDE! LET THEM WALK IN PURITY AND Understand what the Fear of the Lord is, because He is Holy and Righteous. He is good. He desires us to be like him, walk like him, talk like him. We are to be imitators of Christ and show the world who Jesus is.

Well, that’s my heart this morning. Just had to share what is stirring inside.

I LOVE the symbolism of my little nativity. Before JESUS CHRIST was crucified on the cross and the veil that separated all from the Holy of holies was torn on the temple, the Ark of the Covenant alone hosted the presence of God. Jesus became the FINAL blood atonement for our sins, and we are now priests unto God who can BOLDLY approach His throne of Grace and into His most holy presence. Christ alone is the mediator between God and man, no longer do we need a High Priest to go before God for our sins or to be the only one to witness His Glory, Power and Presence.

Why is this such a BIG DEAL? Before the veil was torn the only person who was able to go before the Glory of God & Ark of the Covenant which was behind the thick veil of the temple was the high priest, once a year. He would go into the holy of holies with a rope tied around his ankle that had a bell on it. They did that because if for some reason the priest was not purified himself and if he did anything wrong he could drop dead. The bell was to hear if the priest fell.The Rope was to pull the priest out without risking going into the Holy of Holies and drop dead themselves.

But NOW WE only need to come before Him with pure hearts and the shed blood Jesus. King David said, obedience is better than sacrifice. Our obedience is to God when we live according to His principles and truth. Now the law or Bible when read and taught is written on our hearts through the Holy Spirit. 

Our OBEDIENCE  to His GUIDANCE  leads to His PEACE.

This Revelation hit me today smack between the eyes. Two nights ago I laid awake for hours praying about a situation with my son and crying out to God for wisdom and an answer. Yesterday God revealed a principle that I had been neglecting to walk in and how I related to my son. I asked God’s forgiveness and immediately started to change the way I was relating to my son. This morning when I woke up the peace and part of the answer that I was waiting for finally came. I began to hear God’s voice with the issue I was praying about. He told me today that because of my sacrifice and my obedience to him, He will now do His part. It doesn’t mean the situation is going to iron itself out quickly and be exactly the way I want it. But just the fact that I was able to finally hear His voice and receive His peace in the matter was astounding. All day yesterday I was wrestling with the feeling of not being able to hear clearly, I hate that feeling. It was like it was all cloudy and static between me and God. But in the meantime God was doing something in me that I had no idea was connected to the static and uneasiness.

God rewards our obedience no matter how small we think it might be. HE IS FAITHFUL! Now I learn to trust, listen to his voice and obey the simple instructions. The most comforting thought in the world for parent is to know that God loves our children even more than we do and he cares for their spiritual growth even more than we do.

I hope this blesses and encourages you like it has me. We are on the journey, but we are not alone.

“Inasmuch then as we [believers] have a great High Priest who has [already ascended and] passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith and cling tenaciously to our absolute trust in Him as Savior].
For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin.
Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment].

The Benefits of Alignment – Favor & Peace

May He grant you your heart’s desire
And fulfill all your counsel!
Psalms 20:4 NAS

This mornings meditations and Bible research. This verse is very intriguing to me. Because many translations say “may he give you all your desires and make your plans succeed”

Except in the original Hebrew it says something A little bit different .
“Grant you according to your own heart all your counsel .” The word for “according to your own heart” as well as “your counsel” is only written and used one time each in The Bible .

There is something about the other translations that didn’t sit well with me. Even though throughout the Bible it says God will give you the desires of your heart, People tend to see that as God giving you whatever you want. But we also know that Jesus said if you pray “according to my will” it will be done.
If Jesus gave us everything we asked for –
We would be a mess.

When we walk with God and rely on His counsel, we will understand His will which will be confirmed by his peace.  ~Rachelle Layzell

“But the wisdom that is from above is pure, filled with peace, meek and attentive, filled with love and good fruit, without division and does not show partiality“. James 3:17

A commentator by the name of Gill said about Psalms 20:4, “whatever was agreed upon in the council and covenant of peace between him and his Father, relating to his own glory, and the salvation of his people.”

When we are in covenant with God and make our decisions according to his counsel – that is an agreement of his will. I believe it is THAT WILL Jesus was talking about.

Jesus said in John 10:10
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly [in the Greek perissos]

perissós (an adjective, derived from 4012 /perí, “all-around, excess”) – properly all-around, “more than” (“abundantly”); beyond what is anticipated, exceeding expectation; “more abundant,” going past the expected limit (“more than enough . . . “)

I believe there is a direct correlation between walking in council with God and living abundantly. When we align ourselves with God’s will while being in pure relationship with him we will be directed down the right path. The result of obedience while listening to his voice is FAVOR as He is then able to pour abundantly into our lives.  ~ Rachelle Layzell

It is like the parable of the Good Stewart who did not just waste his talents but invested them. When the master came back he then set him over larger realms of responsibility.

I love that parable because it shows how we partner with God and use the things that He has given us along with his wisdom to expand our influence and blessings . This journey with God is a partnership as well as a relationship. If we walk through life only enjoying the relationship and ignore the partnership a, we are missing out on heaven’s immeasurable resources.  ~ Rachelle Layzell

Jesus said in Matthew 15:15
1 I AM the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.2 Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit [that stops bearing] He cuts away (trims off, takes away); and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit.3 You are cleansed and pruned already, because of the word which I have given you [the teachings I have discussed with you].4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.

5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.6 If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken-off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned.7 If you live in Me [abide vitally united to Me] and My words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.8 When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.9 I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love [continue in His love with Me].10 If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love.11 I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.12 This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.13 No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.

14 You are My friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do.15 I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have learned from Him.]16 You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit andkeep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as presenting all that I AM], He may give it to you.

That is one incredible promise! Jesus no longer calls us servants but friends because he has revealed to us the father’s will.
IT IS TIME TO LIVE ABUNDANT LIFE AS WE WALK WITH GOD, LISTEN AND OBEY AND RECEIVE ALL HE HAS FOR US!

There is nothing like digging into the Word of God! Life to my bones  😀

It’s Show Time

I have such a huge feeling of anticipation in my spirit this morning. God is about to do something incredible that our minds can’t even begin to comprehend. 
The understanding of the victory of the cross is more than what we celebrate on Easter! It is realizing that the same Jesus who took stripes on His back for our healing and poured out his blood for our salvation – is alive and interceding on our behalf right now before the Father. Can you believe that Jesus is interceding for you!!! He wants you to win! He wants you free! He went through the pain for YOUR healing! All of heaven is on their feet cheering for you! You are not alone! 
If God is for you, WHO can be against you? Declare God’s promises over your life. Repent of the lies the enemy is trying to take you out with! Receive the Truth from the Holy Spirit. READ THIS VERSE BELOW OUT LOUD WITH FAITH AND CONFIDENCE! It is the Word of God and is alive and active for you!

Its going to be an amazing season.


UPDATE: 

I am laughing so hard right now. As soon as I finished the last sentence of this blog, Some recorded voice from the back of my van said, IT’S SHOW TIME!!” 

Trying not to freak out as I jumped. Because I just cleaned out my entire van yesterday and there was no toy in here to make that noise. I have been in the van this morning for 2 hours and have never heard a sound like that. 😂 I think God is trying to say something. I’m excited and anticipating something, even though I don’t know what is coming!!

Dream with God

Do you realize that when you have dreams that are far superior to what you ever thought you could accomplish that God knows that is just the tip of the iceberg for the Destiny has for you. I’m telling you this, dreaming with God is like nothing else on earth! Tim and I started dreaming, strategizing and putting together the numbers for a different focus in our business. It would put our tables in places that we have only dreamed about so far. Looking at the numbers with the expenses of a very expensive to run business we didn’t know how it would be possible. 

💥BUT WITH GOD NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!!! 🌈 WE HAVE SAID SINCE THE VERY BEGINNING THIS IS HIS BUSINESS AND HE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT IF WE LISTEN TO HIS VOICE AND OBEY!! 


So just now someone came down from Alaska and bought enough slabs to finance our new endeavor that we will be doing in June. More details of that to come! Ha ha 😁🙏🏻👍🏻 
Matthew 6:8 “for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.” 

HE SURE DOES!!! 
🤷🏼‍♀️ When you are at a point in life or you are feeling stuck and not advancing. There’s a reason you’re feeling that. God is a rustling the ground under your feet. It doesn’t mean jump ship and do something stupid and crazy 🤦🏼‍♀️. It means he is starting to prepare you for something and it is our responsibility to SEEK HIM!! 🙏🏻We need to begin to pray and ask him what he has for us, read the Bible🎚, soak in His Presence in worship. 🛁 He is not going to prepare something for you and not tell you about it. 🗣That only happens when we are not in a position to listen. 👂 

My husband had a revelation last week that Faith is a VERB. It takes action. I looked up this verse and it says it very clearly. I love the message version

James 2:21-24 Was our father Abraham not shown to be justified by works of obedience which expressed his faith when he offered Isaac his son on the altar as a sacrifice to God? 

💥You see that his faith was working together with his works, and as a result of the works, his faith was completed reaching its maturity when he expressed his faith through obedience. 💥

And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and this faith was credited to him by God as righteousness and as conformity to His will,” and he was called the friend of God. You see that a man believer is justified by works and not by faith alone that is, by acts of obedience a born-again believer reveals his faith. 

I love how the word of God speaks to all situations to confirm what we are sensing! 
 More than anything anticipate great things because God loves you and has better plans for your life then you could even imagine.

I will end with one of my favorite life verses! Praise the Lord He sees every day if our life till the end! Hallelujah! He is a good good father! 

Isaiah 55:8-13 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts higher than your thoughts. “For as the rain and snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth, Making it bear and sprout, And providing seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So will My word be which goes out of My mouth; It will not return to Me void useless, without result, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it. “For you will go out from exile with joy And be led forth by the Lord Himself with peace; The mountains and the hills will break forth into shouts of joy before you, And all the trees of the field will clap their hands. “Instead of the thorn bush the cypress tree will grow, And instead of the nettle the myrtle tree will grow; And it will be a memorial to the Lord, For an everlasting sign of His mercy which will not be cut off.” 

Crying out to God for the USA

🎉There is an excitement welling up deep with in me. 🎉Despite the confusion and restlessness in our nation GOD IS ON THE THRONE! 👑If Hillary wins there will continue to be a revelation and unveiling of the corruption that we have never experienced before in our country. I have no fear, but excitement because the prayers of the church and the saints who have gone before us have cried out to God to heal our land. How can God heal if we refuse to deal with hidden sin. I pray that all unrighteousness that is hidden will be REVEALED, for Hillary personally and all her ties and affiliations as well as our government. This goes for Trump as well, If he is elected I pray that the hidden sins would be revealed as well. Purifying a person or a government can only lead to greater favor and blessing. 🎗

We need to move from a place of dread and worry to a place of Faith! From a place of hate and division to a place of Love and Understanding. ❤️I have many Christian friends who are democrats. They love America and have a desire for it to prosper and for its people to live in health and safety. There are good and bad things on both sides of the isle. There are areas on the Republic side that need a softer heart when it comes to taking care of the mentally ill, those who have been abused and desperately need help. BUT we need Wisdom on how to go about these things. It isnt just about throwing money 💸at the problem and going into debt hoping it will all work out. We NEED HEAVENLY WISDOM AND STRATEGY 💡to help the social areas of society!! We need to show love to our youth and train them in the way God has given us in the Bible to live a life of purity before marriage 💍and what it means to be faithful in all things to your spouse after marriage. We need to teach them how and new marrieds about how to have strong families and keep God’s word as the center and follow after his statutes. 

We need to help struggling marriages, and those who are abusing others verbally, emotionally, physically and sexually. We need to teach men & women how to provide for their families, at a young age. Teach them to be responsible and work hard so they are good employees and have ambition to move up the ladder. We need to take care of the elderly and not forsake them. The heath of Society begins at Home and then goes into our schools, businesses and government ect. God has a plan, 👌we need to partner with HIM and stop finding ways to disagree with others. Its time to work together as a nation, in our churches -UNITY & PURE HEARTS towards each other! 

🇺🇸God has GREAT PLANS FOR AMERICA- GOD LOVES AMERICA AND HAD NOT GIVEN UP ON HER- PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT GIVE UP ON HER AS WELL!!🇺🇸


God I cry out for my country!! 🙏🏻 Please OPEN OUR EYES 👀 TO TRUTH!!! 🔦Remove the blindness of Deception that has come through corruption. LET YOUR TRUTH BE REVEALED TO THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA 🇺🇸 BUT GOD even more let 💞 hearts Be changed and softened to accept the truth!! Father we want your favor to return to America and we know it can only come when our hearts are united with you. You alone are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. You are in Control! We will no longer sit back and give in, we will take our responsibility serious for our country and Vote! We will partner with you even when we do not understand all the answers. 🎤JESUS COME AND TOUCH US, make us strong in your might, overcome our weakness so we can stand up and fight. Let your Glory fall on the USA. Let it Go forth from here to the nations. Let your fragrance rest in this place as we gather to seek your face. Let your kingdom come! Let YOUR WILL BE DONE. LET US SEE ON EARTH 🌎 THE GLORY OF YOUR SON ☀️!

With ballots coming in the mail, I wanted to share something that happened during the primaries that transformed my perspective big time. 😱 I wrote this back in April-May 2016 and it still is true for me today. Everyone has their own opinion and this is what completely changed mine. I believe only God could give me dreams like this to change my heart because afterwards I did a 180.

Let me start first by saying this, I have always been as far right as you could ever get as far pure conservative views and moral compass and have been labeled the crazy conservative by many of my friends. (In 7th grade I preached to my private Jr. High about the bad influences of secular music and rock & roll, see! They even thought I was way too conservative in 1992) So for me to say that I am even thinking of voting for Donald Trump seems absolutely ludicrous. But there are times when what we think we should do is different than what is going on in our spirit. A couple months ago I was praying that God would visit his people in their dreams about the presidential candidates. But totally forgot about that when I had a dream in April that shook me to the core. In my dream my son was sitting up on top of a dresser playing with a ball. He dropped the ball and it rolled under the dresser on the dirty ground. To my surprise Donald Trump was standing there in his nice suit and he bent down and got on his hands and knees to reach for the ball way under the dresser and stood up with a kind smile on his face. He handed the ball to my son. In my dream I was astounded and told him, “Please you don’t have to do that.” but he said “I want to.” My son continue to drop the ball over and over and the same thing happened again and again with Donald Trump getting on his knees and reaching for the ball kindly giving it to my son as his suite got dirtier and dirtier. I remember thinking in my dream why would someone like that not care about getting dirty just to help my son. I had so much peace in my dream. I woke up astounded at what I had dreamed, but more so the peace that I felt and the shock in seeing Donald Trump serve my son in a way I never thought he would. 

I had a second dream a month later, I was in a room with Mr. Trump and he was so gentle, compassionate and sensitive while talking to me. My heart felt compelled by love for him. It washed over me like something I have never felt for a presidential candidate. I woke up again in complete shock. What in the world is happening to me? Everything in my natural rational mind says Trump doesnt have the moral compass to be my choice, but God is definitely doing something to change my heart in my dreams. I sincerely pray if Trump is God’s choice that I am not the only one being changed by my dreams. 

After the endorsement of Trump by Dr. Ben Carson, now more than ever, those in the conservative media need to hear our voices. They need us to help bring understanding to help them realize there are a huge number of constitutional conservative purists who see beyond the surface of Donald Trump to what God can do through him in our nation. I believe Carson can help open the eyes of other Republicans since he has lead such a pure campaign in speech, beliefs and conduct. This is what I shared with Dr. Ben Carson the morning after his FB announcement 

“Your example of faith shines bright and pure as gold. You are not in this for the politics as some may say now. I am praying that God will guide His people to make the right decision. That the religions spirit of America will be exposed and the Spirit of God will be poured out on our land in a way like we never would have expected. Now we are praying for a Damascus Road experience for Trump. That his eyes would be open to Jesus Christ like never before. To God be the glory!”

The United States of America has had a Republican-controlled House and Senate for the last four years. Unfortunately even with Republican control Obama has passed treacherous laws that have not been stopped in our country. The Democratic Party is not the only one who has been filled with corruption the Republican Party Establishment has blood on its hands also. They have not stood for conservative values like they preach about. They cater to lobbyists and campaign donors being swayed by their lust for money and power. I guess since Trump already has money and power he does not have to cater to anyone.

I only know that God is our only savior for America and by His power he can change and draw ANYONE TO HIM. I think people forget that with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE! God is messing me up with this big time because it is defying all logic why I am being drawn to Trump. MAYBE GOD KNOWS SOMETHING WE DO NOT!

I am praying for you Mr. Trump! Praying that God protects you and your family. Praying God gives you wisdom, understanding and discernment. I am asking God to give me scriptures for him this is the first one 

James 1:19-27 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent, and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom and continues in it – not forgetting what they have heard but doing it – they will be blessed in what they do. Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless. Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. 

Last night I was speaking with a Ted Cruz delegate and she said she has never met a nice Trump supporter. I told her that there are thousands and thousands out there who have held back this election cycle in voicing their opinions publicly because they feel as soon as they begin to lift their head out of the sand every Christian, Republican, Democrat and all those in between will come and brutally whack their head off. But as has been seen all over the country they are finally able to make their voices heard when they are alone with their ballot. I’m praying the church listens to what God is saying in this time.

The one thing I have learned to hold on to is the word of God. When He says something He means it. His promises are true and His words are everlasting. The Word of the Lord Stands Forever (Isaiah 40 awesome chapter, Psalms 119:89 “The Word of The Lord is eternal. It stands Firm in the Heavens” WOW. Just google that and see all the amazing verses that come up!) People can say whatever the heck they want about you, your dreams and the plans that God has for you 

BUT THEY CAN SAY OR DO NOTHING TO CHANGE THEM UNLESS…..YOU AGREE WITH THEM AND ALIGN YOUR SPIRIT WITH THEM!!!! 

Stand on the word of God! Stand on His truth, Stand on the Words he has given you and promised to you. 

LET NO WORD FROM EARTH OR HELL PERSUADE YOU OR PUT FEAR IN YOUR HEART!

 Just laugh at it HahahahAaaaa!

The Word Of God is LIFE if we want it. So many times we go through our day weighed down and wishing things were different, BUT it doesn’t have to be like that!! God wants us to Rejoice Always and Again I say Rejoice.Even in the pits David rejoiced. We do not realize that many of the Psalms we read were written when David was running for his life before he even was put on the throne as king. He knew his destiny, he was anointed by Samuel for the task as a boy, but he had to fight for his life against everyone who is against him. Take time to read through the book of Psalms, especially when you feel overwhelmed. 

There’s nothing like the word of God to pick you up, set you straight, give you hope and assurance of the promises that God’s word will never fail. It’s impossible! It is impossible for the words and promises of God to fail!!! Take THAT lies! You have NO place in my brothers and sisters! You have no place in the body of Christ. Holy Spirit reveal the TRUTH and set Your People FREE!!!

Its all about our Attitude!! A choice. Listen to Peter. This is a Powerful Reminder to Cast Our cares on HIM

1 Peter 5:2-11 

Care for the flock that God has entrusted to you. Watch over it willingly, not grudgingly—not for what you will get out of it, but because you are eager to serve God. Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example. And when the Great Shepherd appears, you will receive a crown of never-ending glory and honor. In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. 

And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. 

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. 

Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. 

Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation. All power to him forever! Amen.

It is very interesting to me that God said to Cast your cares on him because he cares for you RIGHT BEFORE HE gives a huge warning to Stay Alert!!! Because the enemy is prowling to devour you. 

It is like He knows a secret about not carrying unnecessary hurts & burdens because it opens up the door for the enemy to mess with us. We are supposed to stand firm and keep our heart and emotions not filled with hurt and bitterness. WOW !!! THE WORD OF GOD CAN PREACH!!

Don’t allow your pride to hold onto bitterness and hurt!!! It gives the enemy legal right into your heart and mind! He will mess with you, bind you up, create jealousy, evny, hatred, anger and all sorts of evil to bind you up -UNTIL YOU SURRENDER YOUR HURTS to the Lord. Ask forgiveness for holding on to the hurt and allowing any of the evil attachments mentioned above or others creep in. Receive His forgiveness. Ask for the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth for the lies you are believing about the situation and walk out the steps of forgiveness to the person who hurt you. Then RESIST the Devil!!! Draw close to God. You are an overcomer because of the blood of the lamb and the Word of YOUR Testimony! Take Your Freedom BACK!!

Recipe for Peace- whats on Your newsfeed?

If you spend any time watching the news or way too long looking at your newsfeed, than you know it is getting crazy out there. Dwelling on what is going on in the world without balancing by taking time resting in God’s presence and reading the Bible will lead to unnecessary anxiety. One of the last things my Grandpa David Hjertstedt told me before he died was to always keep my eyes open to what is going on around the world so I know how to interceed. He lead a long life of sacrifice and service to God while interceeding 24/7. He would lay on his bed all night weeping and groaning for the world to come to salvation. He taught my family and thousands of others to always have a pulse on the world and keep our ears open to what the Spirit of the Lord was saying. 

To be honest, lately, I have gotten out of balance. With all that is happening with ISIS, the Middle East and the lack of godly leadership coming from the White House my heart and mind and been overwhelmed. My source of peace has been right there but I did not turn to Him.  Today, I began looking up verses on Peace. While I read them it was like the Word slapped some sense back into me. We have to keep both eyes on Jesus Christ who is the salvation of our world, while looking at the world He holds in His hands. When our eyes are only on the world and where it is  heading we are willingly allowing anxiety, stress and fear enter our heart and spirit. The last thing you want is for a door to be left open to the enemy. CLOSE THAT DOOR IN JESUS NAME!! Repent for opening the door. Close the Door of fear! Close the door of worry! And Close the Door of doubt! Do not allow your good intentions of being alert to what is going on so you can pray, to be turned into an open door where the enemy can take advantage of your sensitive heart. 

Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” 

  
We need to make sure we let God carry the burdens while we walk side by side with Him carring His yoke. 

  
So my encouragement to you today is to stop watching/listening to the news for a while and set your focus on Him. Fill your facebook newsfeeds with scripture and encourage others where they can find true peace. Are we being a testimony of peace or are we only stirring fear? Never stop sharing truth of what is really going on in the world because too many people feel better with their heads in the sand. THAT IS NOT AN ACT OF BEING VIGILANT! Some Christians think that getting into politics or world affairs is not a position of peace, but in reality it is exactly what Jesus encouraged us to do. 

1 Peter 5:6-9 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings. 

We need to be ambassadors of PEACE! We need to hold up the banner of Peace, Truth and Righteousness. There is an old song I remeber and the chorus goes “For the captain of the Host is Jesus. We are following in His footsteps. No foe can stand against us in our land!”

PRAY -BE ALERT & AWARE- SPREAD PEACE – SHARE THE SALVATION THAT ONLY COMES THROUGH JESUS CHRIST!
