I am a citizen of heaven

Yesterday I had the privilege of being with 19 First graders who were quoting this verse over and over for about 10 minutes. What a prophetic time as a very close friend stepped into heaven after midnight, finally receiving the full manifestation of her healing from cancer. Diane Callahan never doubted for a second that her Lord Jesus Christ was her healer and now she has received entrance into the presence of her Papa God.

My heart rejoices with the fact that she is finally seeing face to face the one she has held on to so tightly her whole life. I saw her swinging at the angel of death so many times in the last few years but despite every prayer and verse there are times we just dont understand why, but that didnt change Diane’s faith. She believed till the very end that Jesus could heal her. This shouldnt weaken our faith only strengthen it. She was a powerful example of unwavering faith and in my opinion every time I read Hebrews 11, i will add her name to the list of the Heroes of faith. Heaven has gained a legend!

He’s Got The Power

What do you need God to do for you today? Do you realize that HIS power and purposes are already at work inside of you? When you do not think God is doing anything for you, He is already doing 20,000 things in heaven on your behalf. You just may not see the evidence of that on earth, YET. Do not lose faith, the Lord of Hosts, God of angel armies is on your side!

God Said it- I Believe it – That Settles It

My life is held together by God’s promises. There have been so many times in my life where God has spoken so clearly. In those times, I have to make sure I listen because I know I will have a decision to make. I can either take the word or promise He gives me and throw it over my shoulder, or I can stand on His word and believe it with all my heart. So often when I am faced with challenges, I revert back to His words and hold them up to God with Isaiah 55:10-11 in my mind and say, ” God YOU SAID….”. As I do this, a sense of determination comes over me to hold on to His word and promises like it is oxygen.

What do you think God’s response is?? I believe it is pride in His daughter standing on His word and realizing she is going to make it. He showers down strength, love, hope and peace. I am then energized and refocused on the solution and the answer to what I am crying out for. When we stand in a place of prayer declaring what God is already in the process of doing, we are pulling our future into our present. We don’t have to see the tangible answer in front of us, we need to see the promise God has made and hold Him to HIS word that what He has said He will do. As we align our hope to our faith it propels us into our destiny faster than if we just sit and wait for it to happen.

I know without a doubt that my husband and I would not be in the place we are in, especially with a growing and thriving business if we did not take a hold of God’s promises and declare them in the hard times. We give Him all the glory for the things He has done, what He is doing and what He will do!!

Path to Peace

Isaiah 26:3 is one of my “Life” scriptures. When I found this picture online I couldn’t wait to put the two together. The direction of your eyes in this picture points directly to the sun. Just as our eyes when focused on the “Son” releases a peace into our thoughts and life we cant get anywhere else.

Determine to focus your thoughts on the one who holds your life in His caring hands. He knows every hair on your head (even the ones you lose) 😉

Release the Fire in your Bones

At Destiny Christian Fellowship we are so blessed to be able to release the “Fire in our Bones”. Thank you (dad) Pastor Joel Hjertstedt for setting an atmosphere of freedom and release in our church. I spoke with a woman yesterday at the Woman’s meeting who could not believe the freedom of the Holy Spirit at Destiny. It was only her 2nd week. Church- dont let it end as you walk out the door- Spread that passion and fire in every outlet God gives you. DONT WEAR YOURSELF OUT BY KEEPING IT IN!!

Sometimes it is easier to see the “Son” through the fog

Have you ever looked at the sun through the fog and can actually see the shape of it. When most times the brightness of the sun would blind us as we look at it in a clear day, the shape of the sun is revealed clearly on a foggy day. This morning I begin to realize how the foggy times in our lives cause us to look to the Son, And we see him more clearly than we do on the good days.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.

The word of God never comes alive more than when there is fog in your life. It is like every verse you have read your whole life has new meaning and jumps off of the page. Those moments where a verse seems highlighted in the Bible is not a coincidence, that is the Holy Spirit speaking to you. Many people think they do not hear the voice of God, but I can guarantee you, if you are one who finds yourself drawn to certain verses in the Bible, you hear God’s voice more than you think.

Instead of burring your head in the sand in hard times, Look up to receive the love of the Father like you have never known before. He will never leave you or forsake you.

Hebrews 13:5-6 God has said,‘ Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.’ So we say with confidence,‘The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.What can mere mortals do to me?’

Angels encamp around us! Thank God for protection

On Sunday my husband was heading out with my 11 year old son and some friends to go kayaking. Allowing him to do that has been a step of faith, especially as he wants to push his limits every time. Sunday was his birthday weekend, 60* degrees in January to boot, excellent time to go for a short trip.
On the way down our street a paddle flew out the back of the truck bed, he turned quickly to see what happened, then THIS Happened

The verse, “the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him”, came to mind as he told me there was an accident. The three in the truck had to climb out the window, but praise God all the windows were still in tack. They went to the shop and drove the forklift down the road to pull the truck out. Everyone was fine, but the truck needs some major work.

In those moments there are so many emotions that go through your head. For me it was the fact that all along our road is a steep cliff. There are only a couple places where there is solid ground on the left. They hit the last ditch possible without the cliff. God protected me husband, son and friend. The thought came to mind, what if God was actually protecting them from something worse that could have happened on the River that day. We never want an accident to happen. But, that day, I was thanking God nothing worse happened. Not a scratch on their body.

I am one thankful wife and mother. As I was praying today for a family who has to give testimony in a criminal case, I had to find pictures to declare over them. These were my favorite ones.

In this last picture below that most all of us have seen, you will notice the missing plank on the bridge. See, God could have filled in the hole, but he didn’t. He said “I will give my angels charge over you to protect you in all your ways”. We will still have scary situations in our lives, but God will send help for you always.

His Mercies are NEW every morning

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, ‘The Lord is my portion;therefore I will wait for him.’ The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietlyfor the salvation of the Lord. Lamentations 3:22-26

What does that verse mean to you? To me it means that every day the past is wiped away and I get a new chance at living and receiving an abundant measure of God’s grace.

The understanding of Lamentations 3:22-26 FIRST has to be coupled with Romans 12, where it talks about transforming your mind. I talked about this in a previous blog “The Mind Of Christ: Thinking about Thinking)

If we do not purpose to have our mind renewed by the washing of the word of God, by focusing our thoughts on God and who HE is, there’s NO WAY that we are going to receive the fullness of the “New Mercies” that are promised to us every day. We will end up thinking about the past and the struggles we have gone through along with the things that maybe tormenting us in the present. God is faithful and He will never leave us, but it is very hard to feel His Love and Grace when we are only focused on all the bad in our lives.

Today, allow God to bring you new mercy, grace, strength and comfort. His word is true…..”For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord.

My heart is breaking for the innocent

I have some very precious people in my life who are going through the most gross darkness of pain for innocence that has been lost and indescribable pain. I know God is close to them and I pray for mercy, grace, peace and his tangible love to surround them. This Scripture is ringing loud in my ears tonight.

Psalm 37:18-19 Day by day the Lord takes care of the innocent,and they will receive an inheritance that lasts forever. They will not be disgraced in hard times;even in famine they will have more than enough. IMG_3547.JPG
