Update on the Asbury Visitation

I listened to a video by Rick Curry who’s been doing a lot of on the ground broadcasting about what’s happening in Asbury. He’s talked to the president of the college few times.
The town of Wilmore has a population of 6,000 people. There’s about half that amount on the campus of people coming in from all over the state, country and the world. It’s incredible the hunger of people who stand in line just to get into 1 of now 4 buildings. The most exciting thing is hearing that the hunger is spreading from City to City. Right now Rick Curry said that people can’t even get into the town of Wilmore. It’s packed. I can’t even imagine what the hospitality industry is experiencing right now because they were not prepared for anything like this, as well.
There is another city close by with a large meeting area that Rick talked about. Not sure if that will open up soon. I can’t imagine on a college campus where they still have to hold classes because not every single student is in every meeting and they’re paying to go to the college. Knowing that there is reality of even simple things like cleaning up the chapel and providing bathrooms and food. To watch some of the videos that Rick is posted with people walking up and down to those who are waiting in line and handing out sandwiches to them while they’re standing out in the cold snow to get in the building. That’s amazing. I have heard of a food cart just cooking and donating as a sigh of love and service.
Here is the link to Rick Curry’s post where he shows the line and the town and the church. (disclaimer, I don’t know who he is or what his ministry or beliefs are. I have been listening to his unbiased reports about Asbury) https://fb.watch/iN0nlpCAdj/?mibextid=RUbZ1f

My prayers is that every city would begin to experience this hunger. But it also requires locations to provide space and time for God to move outside of a one or two hour church service. It’ll be very exciting to see what happens in the coming days who’s going to respond to the call of this Awakening that is happening in our country.

It’s been so exciting in my own heart to see God starting to move in our country. It’s way more peaceful than focusing on challenging seasons of life. But I think that’s the key, bringing God into our challenging seasons. We don’t have to go to Kentucky, we can worship God as we’re watching the dishes or getting ready for the day or driving in the car. We just have to turn our eyes and hearts to Him.

What we’re seeing is people wanting to be in God’s presence and sacrificing their time in life to press into that. They know there is nothing flashy in the flesh but the glory of God is what is shining!
In Jeremiah 29:13-14 Amplified version it says “Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you,’ says the LORD, ‘and I will restore your fortunes and I will [free you and] gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you,’ says the LORD, ‘and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.’

Are we seeking Him every day? When we do, we notice a change in our own heart and life. Does it mean everything is going to be easy? No, it just means that we know where our source of strength and peace is. It’s found through the veil that was Ripped in two when Jesus died on the cross, it is found in the holy holies that we can approach the throne of grace with boldness and confidence because of the blood of Jesus that covers Us.

Wow! I don’t want to forget, one of the most incredible things that Rick talked about in his last video was that there is a church up the road from the Asbury campus that is opened its doors around the clock for people to come for food and prayer. That my friends, is unity. That is the body of Christ being the body. I’d love to hear of other churches in that area who are doing the same thing. The Bible is very clear when it says where there is Unity there is a commanded blessing
(Ps 133:1-3)
I want to see every Church in our nation come together with one heart with no agenda of trying to outdo the other, no jealousy no envy no strife, let’s put Jesus as a center and give him the glory.
He said if I am lifted up then I will draw all men unto me. (John 12:32)
It’s time to lift him up. It can start with a pure and hungry heart in your own City, home and church. Let it spread!

This is an incredible behind the scenes look at how the Asbury student worship teams prepare! Check this out! https://www.facebook.com/100064269926942/posts/576153857870273/?mibextid=Nif5oz

Asbury University Visitation beautiful display of 2 Chronicles 7:14

From the beginning, what has taken place at #Asbury has started in Humility. “If my people will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and Turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven I’ll forgive their sins and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

What happened in Asbury took place in a prayer room then led to a chapel service. A hunger in the students that led to the Holy Spirit bringing conviction to sins, public repentance and a heart for worship that has not stopped. These are the earmarks of what I have heard and I’ve had a good friend there in person to confirm.

The fact that they’re are no special/famous speakers or flashy worship is not a condemnation against those things. What the faculty and students have said is that there are no celebrities here except Jesus! Jesus is King! That is something we don’t expect to hear and see going into a service where the Holy Spirit is moving. This non-stop worship service is, in some circles reserved, but it’s not just worship that is drawing people. It is the hunger. Revival starts with hunger. There’s a hunger to seek the Lord. Those who come are sitting on a wooden bench for hours with no words on the screen of the songs, and no agenda. They are coming to experience the presence of God that they might not have ever felt before.

There’s transformation happening in that room in the hearts of people. Having students lead from the platform without worship lists, leading with a heart of love and Desire to be with Jesus. I think we can get so wrapped up in words of Revival or Movement or Awakening. Without a doubt this last week has been one that has shown America we want Jesus here! We want His presence we want to feel his love. It shows America there are Christians that are hungry for more than what we have been experiencing.

🔥Revival starts with hunger and is sustained by humility. HUMILITY is the Hallmark of what we are witnessing at Asbury. The fact that they don’t recognize or acknowledge many famous pastors and leaders who have sat in the congregation is commendable. Heaven won’t be doing that either. All of our eyes and focus will be on God. That in no way says that famous leaders are doing something wrong by fulfilling God’s call on their life. They are just having a service and overlooking the title and position of other ministers, allowing God to be the focus.

It’s wonderful that the worship songs that are being sung are those that might be older so people know it and don’t need words on the screen. Sometimes it’s hard to go to a service and all the songs that are sung are super complicated and long and hard to remember. It doesn’t matter the songs that are sung, it matters the heart of Purity they are sung with. The Lord is enthroned on the Praises of his people! He is being enthroned around the world in a fresh way as people everywhere are tuning in to live streams. What a beautiful time of refreshing when the body of Christ comes together in unity in one place. Where there is Unity there is a commanded Blessing.
Last night in their service they said don’t just come here and get fat and keep it all yourselves. You need to take what you received here and go out and spread it to the city in your community. They want what God has done in that place to impact our nation. That is where transformation starts to take place, outside of the walls.

Let’s lift up our voices and allow our hearts to join with thousands around the world who are humbly pray seeking God’s face, repenting and turning from our wicked ways. God come heal our land!

Will You Agree Together With Me? Let’s Pray:

God move across our country with a level of hunger as well as a passion for righteousness and a life lived in holy reverence and worship to God. Let all the secret sins that so easily ensnare us to be revealed by the Holy spirit, conviction to come and true repentance which is turning and walking the opposite direction.

Let there be a generation of men who rise up and say, I will not allow my eyes to look at porn, I will love my wife and concecrate myself to her as Christ loved the church and laid His life down for it. Let there be father’s to teach their children the love of Father God and the truth of the word of God. Let a generation of mother’s Arise who interceded over her husband and children till the destiny that God ordained before the foundation of the world is released through them. Let these women not be afraid to pursue God with abandonment even if their husbands think they are too passionate for God.

Let there be a generation of children who know there is No Jr. Holy Spirit. That they can approach the throne of God with boldness in prayer and worship and lay hands on the sick and see them healed. Let a generation of youth Arise who say they are drawing a line in the sand and stepping into the call of God on their lives with abandonment.

Let all those not married be like Paul and Live every moment of their lives sold out to help see Heaven invade Earth in every mountain of influence they are apart of.

Jesus, Let your Kingdom come on Earth as it is in Heaven. Here we are Lord, Send us! Release your Holy Spirit in a new measure. Let every well of Revival around the USA be unplugged, dig it out and drill even deeper so a well that will never run dry will be released over this land! Now is the time. Let the hunger burn. Let our churches experience a purging of fire and repentance from the top to the bottom. Let there be a freedom to worship with abandonment. Let there be a release of the gifts of the spirit.

Release the prophetic, release the apostles, release the evangelists, raise up a new generation of Pastor’s who will be willing to lay their lives down for the sheep and be willing to disciple and raise up new leaders. Raise up teachers who will teach the Meat of the word and not just hand out bottles of milk for the congregation to suck on. Let a burning passion for the word of God be birthed by teachers who reveal God ls truth and principles and how to apply them to our lives. Come Lord we need you!

Asking the Holy Spirit to Hover Over Your Prayer Targets

I heard a message years ago from Beni Johnson that talked about praying for our kids that the Holy Spirit would hover over them like the Holy Spirit did over the waters at creation. The testimonies that came in were unbelievable how lives were changed and how the prodigals returned.

I encourage you to listen to this song and where it says “Rest on Us” replace the US with the name of the person you are praying for. It is soo powerful to combine worship with prayer as it releases faith inside of us and joins our hearts and spirit with Papa God.

This song was playing right when I turned my car on this morning on Air1, I’m so thankful!
Now I’m so excited to hear testimonies from you!

Rip off those Grave Clothes, Hope to the Hopeless

Have you ever had one of those long seasons where fear, anger, grief and loss seem to drown out hope and make the promises of God seem like a mirage?
It may be in those seasons like the only thing to do is block out the world around you as much as you can and go on autopilot.
Then when you finally get to a place where you can relax and have peace you realize that all the relaxing in the world does not take the place of Jesus!

When decisions are made that are totally out of your control and you think that the promises God made will never come to pass. That is when we need to recognize the source of those thoughts, from the pit of hell. It is our responsibility to keep praying, keep trusting God, keep declaring His promises over you and your family. Over your children, their spouses, your grandchildren. Never stop crying out to God for His purposes to be done for His will to be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

It’s time to shake off those grave clothes! I will never forget a sermon I heard years ago that talked about the grave clothes we walk around in. When Jesus called Lazarus out of the tomb, he told him to Take off those Grave clothes he was wearing. We can walk around with the heaviness that the enemy wants us to stay in but Jesus makes us free, whole and restored. We can asknowledge that the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord’s is still on the throne. He hasn’t stopped believing his promises so we can’t either.

Time to see that Jesus sits on the throne and he has given us the keys of sin and death. He has given us Authority to trample on the enemy. It’s time to get our fight back. It’s time to realize who is the head and who is the tail. We are MORE Than CONQUERORS through Him who loves us and has called us according to His purposes.

Even if we can’t change the choices that we can’t control around us, we can change our thoughts, heart, attitude and response to it. God give us all the strength and courage to see beyond the surface of the problems. Help us to remember that, you take what the enemy meant for evil and turn it for good. Give us your eyes to see with hope that we will see a victory. We will pray with faith and hold on to hope not fear. We align our faith with the word of God. We will silence the lies of the enemy by speaking the word of God to every twisted idea. Turn on the Worship misic and worship your heart out! We will declare the promises of God every day.

Are you willing to go beyond the rent veil?

When you hear the verse, the glory of the latter house will be greater than the former – this is just a taste of what it means.

The very second Jesus died on the cross, the veil of the temple ripped top to bottom. That veil was as thick as a man’s hand about 4 inches thick. It took 300 priests to hold on to it and replace it every year. It was so strong that neither an earthquake or 2 horses on each side couldn’t pull it apart. It was 60′ long and 30′ high. Why is that so important?

THAT IS HOW MUCH GOD WANTED TO INTERACT PERSONALLY WITH HIS PEOPLE. The death of Jesus on the cross allows anyone free access to the most holy of holy places. The very intimate manifest presence of God!! How many times are we satisfied to stay in the outer courts and just watch or participate from a distance? We have access to the very intimate place that before Jesus’ death was only accessed 1 time a year by a priest who had to be 100% pure and blameless, with a cord and bell wrapped around his ankle. Why? Because if he entered behind the veil with any sin or did anything wrong God would strike him dead. He had a bell so people outside would know if he was dead or not then they would pull him out by the Rope. Imagine the level of fear and reverence for the presence of God they had.

We have a choice, we can choose to stay in the OT times and stay away from the intimate presence of God, or we have a choice to desire more and more of His presence. The enemy has tried everything he can to keep the church from entering into that deep place of worship. He pulls out all the stops and presents just the right formula because he used to be the worship leader of Heaven. He knows the incredible and wonderful joy and freedom that comes from worshipping at the throne room. There is a deeper place we can go, it is there. Many have tasted it. Many have been transformed by it. It takes time, it takes patience, it takes complete abandonment to the Holy Spirit.

If you don’t know what I am talking about, then feel free to message me and I can refer you somewhere where you can experience it. If you want to get a group of people together to press in deeper and spend time waiting on Him, I would love to do it with you. I know my family heritage is saturated with stories of the Glory of God showing up in times of worship and prayer. It is in my DNA, it is who I am. I never want to run away from it. The Glory of God is about to be poured out on the church in a way we have only dreamed of. But we have to want it. We have to be willing to have it change us. We have to be willing for it to not always look and sound perfect.

There is a stirring in the waters again, you can feel it all over this nation. Turn on voice competitions and you will hear worship exploding out of contestants who carry incredible anointings. The judges are stunned moved to tears and don’t even know why! I will tell you why, it is the tangible presence of Almighty God coming down in Love trying to reveal himself to us. The unsaved are Moved by true worshippers. They are not afraid. It is the presence of God that transforms them, draws them and his love is compelling them to draw deeper into his love. If we are afraid of showing the world the passionate love and presence of God through worship, we are missing God’s greatest gift the ability to connect with him on the other side of the rent veil.

I write this after a morning of horrible heavy attack. I’m telling you something real here, the enemy wants to steal your joy, your peace and what you feel God’s call is on your life. He did with me this morning. I contacted 2 of my closest friends one here and one on the other side of the world and begged them to pray for me. This stupid thing lifted as I came into agreement with them, rebuked the enemy asked for forgiveness to God for coming into agreement with those lies and God set me free.

Hallelujah! I know Gods purpose is good and He will make a way where there is no way!

I started off this post wanting to share with you 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 but God had something else in mind. Haha.

But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious. Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech—unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the end of what was passing away. But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains unlifted in the reading of the Old Testament, because the veil is taken away in Christ. But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart.Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. – 2 Corinthians 3:7-18 http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2Corinthians3:7-18&version=NKJV

Be blessed, and Press In!

I once had a friend ask me why I go to church all the time. My answer was simple, There is safety in a multitude of counselors. I don’t know about you but I need accountability in my life. If I just Stay at home and never have fellowship, I am missing out on having a lot of trusted godly people speak into my life. Many times people do not want to open up if they don’t know their pastors, but it’s hard to know who your your pastors and spiritual leaders are if you don’t go to church and interact with them.

I mean Facebook is great and all, but that is not real fellowship. The devil wants to isolate us, he knows if he can isolate us from the body of Christ then we are more open to him twisting our life into knots. There is something about corporate worship, exhortation and hearing what God wants to speak to us as a body and as a region that you just don’t receive from home. Every church has a mandate given to them by God. As a member of that body you are a part of that incredible blessing and responsibility.

There is a trend going on right now that going to church is just a bunch of legalism. To me that is just a lie from the enemy. Every time I am burdened down and heavy and feel like there’s no way I can go to church, that is just the day that God has an incredible breakthrough for me to receive. The encouragement and prayer that takes place, as well as, the friendships built and strengthened has lifted me higher than any facebook post or online message I have ever read and listened to. That’s a fact! Hebrews 10:24-25 “and let us consider thoughtfully how we may encourage one another to love and to do good deeds, not forsaking our meeting together as believers for worship and instruction, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more faithfully as you see the day of Christ’s return approaching. “

Can you have freedom while surrounded by war?

IS IT POSSIBLE to have VICTORY even when you are in a place where it seems no one else is walking in that freedom? YES!! ONLY OF YOU PRESS INTO THE THRONE ROOM UNTIL YOUR PERSONAL FREEDOM IS RECEIVED! Do NOT allow the enemy to bring frustration and anger while looking at those around you who are not walking in freedom. Get YOUR breakthrough FIRST and allow the Holy Spirit to USE YOU to press in for breakthrough in the corporate.

Something happened to me. I was in the middle of a spiritual and mental war with the most intense conflicting thoughts, emotions and desires that I have ever felt. I was in a worship service where I knew the principal that “it doesnt matter the style or the song, I need to focus on Jesus and give my worship to Him.” BUT IT WAS SO HARD!! Everything that was in me wanted to sing out and see breakthrough in the service and in my own heart but the combination of everything had me fighting inside. At one point I thought we were going to break into a new level but it flatlined and I started to tremble with desire and agitation, so not wanting anger and frustration to come in I ran upstairs and to a back corner and first repented for my attitute and for having a struggle inside of me. I began to say over and over again “Breakthrough, Breakthrough, BREAKTHROUGH!!!!! I began to pray in the spirit allowing God to pray through me. It got more and more intense. I began to sense in the spirit what had been taking place over the last while.

Finally, the song I heard playing in the background was a song about Victory. At one point in the song I SHOUTED out a long warcry with a loud voice declaring into the atmosphere and spirit WE HAVE VICTORY. “Hallelujah, We Have Overcome, We have Overcome. Hallelujah, Jesus you have Overcome the world.” As that song played I began taking back the ground that the enemy “thought” he had claimed. This is God’s church, These are God’s people. We belong to Him and He had overcome and we are overcoming with Him. “Every high thing must come down, every stronghold must be broken. You wear the victor’s crown. You have overcome, You have overcome.”

I was out of breath at the end and had to sit down and compose myself before heading back to my chair. It was like being in labor till at least I had a emotional and spiritual breakthrough in myself. If anyone else received a breakthrough than praise God. I knew I was not going to allow the enemy TO ROB ME OF A BLESSING or to allow my heart to get filled with crud.

We all have times where we are so hungry and the situaltion in life may not have all the right answers but we do have a choice to turn to the One who does! When your feet are planted on the rock and your eyes are on Him, He knows your deepest desires and needs and He will meet them.

If church attenders spent MORE TIME SEEKING GOD for a breakthrough in the service, no matter how they need to do it and LESS TIME CRITICIZING the songs, style or leader – every church would have the personal and corporate revival like we are praying for. It is a matter of our HEART and ACTIONS!!

So go get your freedom! Find it in the throne room. Go there yourself, you do not need anyone else to take you there. Through the blood of Jesus we now have free access. The veil has been torn in two.

So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.

Hebrews 4:14-16

Allow Him to Love You

In the insanity of life, at times all it takes is to quiet ourselves down for a couple minutes and allow Papa God to love on us. To be honest, it takes effort when your mind is filled with everything you need to do. But it transformed me this afternoon. I started listening to The Fish Christian Radio and every song that came on was a worship song that melted my heart.

The picture below was drawn for me a couple years ago from a lady at church. She drew it as I was exhorting the church about the flood of Love that God wants to release upon them. It just takes them to let go of the hurts and pain that they are clinging to and allow God to love them. The artist gave it to me and said she saw this picture as I was sharing. She said that just as I was encouraging the church, that God was cherishing me.

This picture has become one of my prize possessions. Allow Papa God to love on you today. Take a few minutes to focus on Him, listen to some worship music and feel your spirit come alive again. He is already waiting to hug you and love on you. He is already speaking to you. Stop. Wait. Listen. He will never let you down!!

PARENTS: YOU are a Worship Leader

worship with your kids

There is nothing like the sweet presence of Jesus filling our home as we worship! I just sat down at the piano which I dont do very often, and began playing from my heart a few songs that flowed right into each other. This morning I have been singing I Surrender All. So I started with that, then a song God gave me in High School. Next I exalt Thee and I love you Lord. When I was done I looked and David was curled in a ball crying saying that was the most amazing thing I have felt and heard. I told his it was the presence of Jesus. That when our worship goes up to him, He comes down and spends time with us. We dont even have to sing any words, he knows our hearts.

Elicia was crying on the couch in the other room because she was sad about her missing kitty. She said when she heard the music she felt peace and stopped crying.

Oh, Jesus we love You and Your presence. Take over our lives, let our children experience the outpouring of your presence and the filling of your Spirit. Take control and consume us with only you. ‼️

Power in the name of Jesus: These Kids Got It!!

What an INCREDIBLE morning. On the way to church this last Sunday, I wept as I listened to “Break Every Chain” by Jesus Culture. I began picturing the elementary class I was about to teach getting a hold of the concept that there is Power in the name of Jesus.

We have been teaching them from Becky Fischer’s Kids In Ministry International curriculum “Hearing God’s Voice”. We are in our last chapter learning about the enemy’s counterfeits. We have spent a whole year teaching our kids how to hear the voice of God. For most of them it is now a natural thing. Something that some of the parents are still learning to grasp. They have learned all the different ways they can hear Gods voice. Now they are moving out with the words of knowledge and prophetically to each other and those they know. They are worshiping with abandonment and praying for the sick and seeing God heal. They have an unstoppable faith.

When I arrived at Destiny Christian Fellowship’s Elementary class, I was so overwhelmed with the Presence of God and had so much anticipation of what He was going to do. I began class teaching the lesson about how the enemy lies to people making them believe he is just as powerful as God, or that he can be everywhere at one time, or that he knows everything. BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE! Those are only God’s characteristics.

I then had the kids write down on a little piece of paper things that the enemy tries to scare them with or tempt them with or make them believe a lie about. These pieces of paper were formed into a chain. Then I had someone in the class put a white robe around themselves to represent Jesus and as we listened and worshipped with “Break Every Chain” the person representing Jesus came and broke the chains. The kids then rushed up to break and rip up the chains because they knew they had the power of Jesus inside of them to see those chains broken. It was such a visual representation of what takes place in our lives and also what happens in others lives as we pray for them.

One of the songs I taught them was, “Romans 16:19 says”. We sang and did the actions for this song for 10 minutes. They got it and loved it. The importance of getting the Word of God in their heart is critical at this age. Song is the easiest way to do this. My other favorite Music Group who does this is “God Rocks”. They sing pure word for word scripture. My kids and I have listened to it for 8 years. It is one of the best. They have DVD’s, CD’s and books for kids. Each one has a theme with verses that back it up. Powerful and life changing. Worth every cent of investment. You can also find some on Christian TV channels or YouTube. The other group my class loved watching was “The Rizers” you can find them on YouTube. Purely scripture done in a fun and entertaining way to watch and listen.
Here is the link for Romans 16:19 Says

One little 1st grader told me after class that the power of Jesus is in his hands. That when he prayed for his grandma the heat from his hand made a red mark on her back. He knows without a shadow of a doubt the power of His healing God. He is also quite the worship leader. From the first day he came to class he came up front and let these kids into powerful times of worship.

No one can say that you miss out of church when you work in children’s ministries at DCF because we have CHURCH in our classrooms.
