3 Steps to begin walking out your destiny

I saw this on the wall last night at a church. It made me catch my breath….. “There are many things in life that will catch your eye, but only a few that will catch your heart…. Pursue those.”

This morning, the verse kept going through my mind in Jeremiah 1:12 ,” The LORD said to me, “You have seen well, for I am [actively] watching over My word to fulfill (perform) it.”

I can’t wait to begin pursuing the things God has placed on my heart. In the 1st chapter of Jeremiah he sees a twig of an almond branch. The almond tree is the first tree to bud around January. God is excited to watch over the words He has spoken to us and can’t wait to see us bud and produce the fruit that He had placed inside of us before we were even born. He knew us before we were in our mothers womb. We were hidden in Christ. He placed a destiny, giftings, and a specific mantel on us that only we will carry.

You are a gift to this world that God is waiting expectantly to see released. Where does it start?

It starts by Full Submission to Him. What does full submission look like?
1) Obedience to His word, read, study, memorize the Bible get it into your heart. Allow it to transform you to where it flows out of you like a river of water. Apply it to your life where you obey what it says. Keep away from evil, sin and anything that does not honor God. Ask God to give you a desire to live a pure and holy life unto Him. Romans 12:1 says, “present your body as a living sacrifice to God, holy and acceptable which is your reasonable service.

3 Steps to begin walking out your destiny

I have heard some Christians say, you can’t be holy, Jesus was God so he couldn’t sin. At times this is said to justify their own sin and make an excuse as to why they couldn’t stop themselves. But I tell you, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He had a choice whether or not he would sin. Otherwise, what was the purpose of Jesus being tempted by the devil in the wilderness? He had just finished fasting 40 days, he was weak and tired and the enemy tried to catch him at his lowest point to tempt him in all the things he needs or would he facing at the cross. Jesus refused and said, man shall not live on bread alone but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.

Jesus was tempted in all things Yet He did it sin. We are to be Holy as he is holy. 1 Peter 1:14-16 “As obedient children, do not conform to the passions of your former ignorance. 15But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do, 16for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy” It’s not just an Old Testiment statement!

BUT WHERE DOES Holiness START?

1) It starts with a Desire to please the Lord and live for him. We can ask him for that desire and he will give it to us. We can ask for strength to avoid giving into sin. In 1 Corinthians 10:13 Amplified it says,
No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].

2) Seek His Face, not just his hand (what he can do for you). Seeking his presence by allowing ourselves to stop what we are doing and spend time with him. Stop, Wait on him and Listen to his voice. When Elijah went into the cave God didn’t speak in the wind, earthquake or fire, God spoke as a still small voice, a whisper. (1 Kings 19:13)

3) We need to be patient and cultivate that habit of waiting on Him, listening to His voice, then responding to it in Obedience. It doesnt matter if it is a verse he wants you to look up, a person he wants you to pray for, or someone you are to give something to physically or a word of encouragement. The simple act of taking His word to heart, honoring it and obeying it will open your ears even wider to hear the Lord quicker and clearer next time! When we respond to His word, it sharpens our awareness of the Holy Spirit, till it gets stronger and stronger and you doubt less and less that you can hear His voice. That is when you have the confidence to step out in boldness even when you don’t think your are ready or prepared. That’s when the anointing of God that had been poured out in the secret place of seeking His face flows out of you to others.

Here are 2 easy to understand messages about your Destiny and God’s Mantel on your life from Doug Lasit, Senior Pastor of The Pearl Church in Denver, Colorado. He is a man of God I have respected since he was my Youth pastor back in the late 90’s at City Bible Church (now Mannahouse) in Portland, Oregon. I hope these messages bring understanding to why you are alive in this place and time.

No word of God will Fail!

“No freshly spoken word of God will come to you, that does not contain its own ability to perform it.”

The verse in the Bible that says it is impossible for God to lie is one of the most comforting scriptures.
Hebrews 6:18
“God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.”

If God says something he will do it. Piggybacking on yesterday’s post about faith, faith being complete trust in the character of God. Knowing that God cannot lie is a part of his character. He is trustworthy. That means if he says something I can put complete faith and trust in the words that he speaks. Those words can be what I read in the Bible or words that he speaks to me personally. Having an unshakable faith in his character means I can trust his words will come to pass.
When the angel came to Mary and told her that she would have a son and that Elizabeth was already in her 6th month, she asked “how is that possible?”. The angel said, in Luke 1:37  “Nothing (no rehma) will be impossible with God.”
Rehma in the Greek means:
rhḗma (from 4483 /rhéō, “to speak”) – a spoken word, made “by the living voice” (J. Thayer). 4487 /rhḗma (“spoken-word”) is commonly used in the NT (and in LXX) for the Lord speaking His dynamic, living word in a believer to inbirth faith (“His inwrought persuasion”).

I love Pastor Bill Johnson’s definition of this verse,

“No freshly spoken word of God will come to you, that does not contain its own ability to perform it.”

Bill Johnson, Pastor Bethel Church

If God speaks something to you that means he is not limited by circumstances, all he needs is a willing heart that trusts him and is ready to obey. This fills me was such hope and anticipation for what God is about to do. There are no limitations with him. He always tends to work outside of our box. It’s easy to trust in his character when I know He is good all the time.

He knows everything that is going on: He is Omniscient.

He is everywhere and surrounds me wherever I go: Omnipresent.

He is all powerful nothing is too hard for him: Omipotent.

He is the Apha and the Omega: the beginning and the end. He has already been where we are going.

What an Incredible God we serve!

In the Darkest Night He Will Light it Up

When God gets ready to move you into another step of your destiny, I am learning he will begin to expose the sin in our lives. Even more so, He may also shake the foundations in our lives where sin is about to be exposed in those around us. This can cause households to shake.

It may make you uncomfortable, because when sin is exposed hell trembles, especially if your heart is pure and repentant before the Lord. The enemy will try to pull out all the stops. You may have times where you feel hopeless and that the dreams God had given you will never be fulfilled. You may look at circumstances and think, how in the world will God ever fulfill His word. You may feel dry and possibly even distant from God’s voice.

But if your heart’s desire is to live completely sold out in abandonment to the lover of your soul, God will not forsake you! He will fulfill his word! His promises always will be fulfilled! It might not look like what you expected but God is the ultimate Transformer.

He can take utter devastation and loss and in your darkest moment give you a glimpse of the beauty before you. Don’t lose heart. Don’t give up. Keep your eyes on Jesus and seek his face and not just his hand of what he can do for you. Spending time in his presence is like nothing else you will encounter on Earth. Put on some worship music and enter in with abandonment. This has been my personal playlist this year. It had been constantly on repeat. I hope you find healing and peace through these songs. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLUDOz07Ot4bbBBvtHe6FVoQVcnt9hlPiz

Setting our eyes on Him takes our eyes off of our current circumstances and allows Faith to fill us.

Mental Victories: Hardest Fought but Greatest Reward

Today I used the verse below as a weapon to stomp on the enemy’s head. He kept trying to creep up and place degrading thoughts in my mind about myself. Hurtful words that had been spoken to me by another person, now used as a dagger the enemy constantly tries to annihilate me with.

Today I spoke this verse over myself again and again and it fortified a wall of the word of God around me blocking the enemy’s voice. I sat in peace when I normally would have been in turmoil.

Today, declaring this verse put on display the power of the word of God when it is hidden in our hearts and used against the enemy, as the word of Our Testimony.
⚡ I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.⚡

Righteousness means right standing with God. I know the purity of my heart and actions before God. I know my position in Christ. I am a daughter of the King.

Let this verse sink into your heart. Let it become your Battle Cry when the enemy comes to fill your mind with thoughts that tear you down. Knowing who we are in Christ enables us to walk each day filled with his grace and enablement to be able to do everything he has called us to do.

He made Christ who knew no sin to [judicially] be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we would become the righteousness of God [that is, we would be made acceptable to Him and placed in a right relationship with Him by His gracious lovingkindness].
2 Corinthians 5:21 Amplified

Wake Up Spirit! Declaring scripture over our prayer targets.

Going on the theme of yesterday’s post, this scripture was burning in my heart this morning for some of the people I’m praying for. I encourage you to speak out loud this verse but insert the name of the person you are praying for in place of the word “You”.

I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. Philippians 1:6 Amplified Version

SO, SAY THIS. GET IT INTO YOUR SPIRIT AND “STIR UP” YOUR FAITH!

I am convinced and confident that He who HAS begun a good work in _________ WILL COMPLETE IT until the day that Jesus Christ returns.

Amen!

Philippians 1:6

There’s something that happens in your spirit when you hear with your ears what you are thinking in your mind. The Bible talks about our thoughts being powerful but even more powerful is declaring the word of God in a situation and joining together your thoughts and heart for someone.

When our faith is “stirred” it means that we are activating it. Like when you put yeast in bread dough. That dough would just sit there and do nothing if the yeast was not added. In the Bible it talks about a little leaven, leavens the whole lump. So does our faith when it is activated in our spirit. It takes our thoughts and emotions and joins it with our spirit. That is where we began to see things from Heaven’s perspective instead of an Earthly perspective. It allows us to gain hope when everything we see in the natural seems hopeless.

So say to your spirit Wake Up! Start declaring with your mouth the Word of God over those who are praying for and in your own situations. There is nothing like getting out of your own pit by focusing your thoughts and prayers on someone else. We can get caught in our own bubble of a world and look at our own junk and situations causing us to go in a downward spiral.

What we need to do is get our eyes OFF of ourselves, and on to Christ. Through Christ see will people through His eyes and partner with Him to see breakthrough for someone else. That is when you begin to feel lighter and start feeling hope and joy in your own life.

It’s time to start declaring the word of God and stirring up our spirit with faith!

We sang this song when I was little. I love singing scripture!

The Lord Says to You this day..I SEE YOU. I HEAR YOU.

Today, while Listening to “Adoration”/Jesus School Worship on YouTube

– God told me to close my eyes and start typing.

God says,

I see you. I hear you. I haven’t forgotten about you. I know your heart. I know your dreams. I remember what I have said to you. I have spoken my words of life and hope and put dreams inside of you.

Don’t keep looking back. Don’t compare. I am doing a new thing. Keep pressing in. Don’t let the heavy clouds of despair and doubt and depression fill your mind and spirit. I am coming to BLOW BLOW BLOW off the dust. Blow off the shackles that bind you. Yes BLOW the shackles. Because they are not strong. They are weak put there by your own imagination. I speak to you today.

I loose the bonds of weariness. I loose the bonds of doubt and fear and the feeling of being trapped. I loose you this day says your God. Listen to me. Spend time with me. I miss you more than you miss me. In my presence there is Joy. In my presence there is peace. In my presence there is Hope. Put your dreams and destiny into my hands.

This is a season that looks different than you expected. But nothing is a surprise to me. I have set you high upon a rock. On a firm foundation. That foundation will not be shaken. Hold fast to my word. Hold fast to my promises. For it is the weak who say I am strong. It is the poor who say I am rich.

Dwell with me. Dwell in the safety of my presence. Do not be distracted by the words of the world. My plan has never wavered. Come back to me. I need you. I want you. I can hear your cries. You are my beloved. I am jealous for you.

Look for me around you. See what I am doing in other places. Diamonds are created under deep pressure and heat. Don’t be afraid that you wont come out refined and beautiful. For there is nothing impossible with me. It wont look like you thought. It will be just what I want.

See this day I have set before you life or death. Choose life. Live in freedom. Walk in freedom. Speak with a tongue set free from strife or heaviness. Declare to this place that the Lord reigns. I am coming to breathe life back into this place.

You have heard those around the country speaking of a new wave, it is coming. Press into it. Stir up that hunger once again.

There have been those who have left earth with mantels that need to be picked up. Pick them up says your God. Pick up the mantels of the prophets, the worship leaders, the teachers and the preachers, the evangelists and the miracle workers.

What do you want me to do for you?? What do you want to see happen this day. It is a day where you have a slate that is blank before you. ASK BIG OF YOUR GOD!! Don’t miss out on this opportunity. What do you want me to do?? What ?? Don’t hold back in fear to ask big.

DREAM AGAIN!!!!!!!! Dream again!!!!

I take the coal from the alter and I seal this with a holy kiss.

How to Stand Firm

Wow, Matthew 24:13 jumped off the page this morning. Especially the definition of
STAND Firm.
So HOW do we do that when everything appears chaotic around us? It starts by knowing who we stand firm with! The character and words of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are unchangeable. His words Always come to pass. Maybe not in our timing, but his Promises are true. The word of God, the Bible is our firm foundation. It is not a book of nice stories, it is the infallible words of God with accurate historical facts. It is our rock and our source. It never changes.

Our PEACE is not determined by what we see outside, it comes from trusting and yielding to the Holy Spirit. He is our pure peace. We might have fun doing things in life, but it doesn’t bring true lasting deep peace. It is in that place of peace where we can relax and ask God to speak to us. It could be through his Word, through worship, soaking, praying in the spirit, or just being quiet. He wants to speak to us more than we want to stay quiet and listen.

Our HOPE comes from knowing His Word, Believing in Faith and acknowledging He is in Control and will keep his people in the shelter of His wing. He has given us authority through His son Jesus to rule and reign with him in heavenly places. He has put the enemy Under our feet. (Romans 16:19,20 Be exellent in what is good, be innocent of evil. And the God of Peace will soon crush Satan underneath your feet) We put on our armor Ephesians 6. We know we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and rulers in heavenly places. But, Jesus took the keys of sin and death from the devil after his death on the cross. Jesus said, I am he that liveth and was dead and behold I am alive forevermore. I have the keys of hell and of death. (Rev 1:18)

Our HOPE is knowing that our citizenship is not on Earth. If we belong to Christ, Heaven is our home and we eagerly await our reunion with Him. Phillipians 3:20 Our confidence in this comes from Faith in His Word.

If there was ever a time to read our Bibles it is now!

A season of completion of promises.

When I saw this video yesterday (https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153476138975921)

I could not get out of my mind what I believe God was saying. I kept hearing the phrase , THIS IS A SEASON OF COMPLETION OF PROMISES! Get ready for the promises that God has spoken over your life to begin to come full circle. One of my favorite life verse is
Isaiah 55:11 “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

God can not lie. What He has said, He will do! Take hold of His promises and declare them over your life. When you come into agreement with His promises and declare them over your present situation it is activating your faith and aligning your prayers with God’s will.

Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done. 22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

We cannot even comprehend the amount of creative energy that is held in a single word that God speaks. God spoke and it was created! What words of God are you speaking over your life?
